Can You Use a Glycolic Acid Cleanser Every Day?

Some people can use a glycolic acid cleanser daily—but concentration, pH, contact time, formulation and your skin’s tolerance all matter.

Glycolic acid belongs to the alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) family. AHAs are used in skincare for exfoliation and have evidence in conditions including rough texture, acne, pigmentation and photoaging.

But a glycolic cleanser is not the same as a glycolic peel.

A leave-on 10% acid, a professional 30–70% peel and a low-concentration rinse-off cleanser can behave very differently.

Breeze & Be’s Purifying Cream Cleanser contains 1.5% Glycolic Acid in a rinse-off formula alongside panthenol, arginine and nourishing oils.

Should everyone use it twice daily?

Not necessarily.

Your skin decides the frequency.

If daily use leaves your skin comfortable, it may fit your routine. If you develop persistent dryness, burning or flaking—particularly when introducing another active such as a retinoid—reduce frequency.

And use sunscreen during the day. Higher-strength glycolic acid has been shown to temporarily increase UV sensitivity in human skin.

Dr. Roy’s take:
The right frequency isn’t the maximum your skin can survive. It’s the frequency your skin can comfortably sustain.
